A third party is someone not listed on the Note (ie: spouse, friend, relative, attorney, title company or realtor).
To release information to a third party, the third party must become an Authorized Third Party (ATP).
Customers may submit written authorization or provide a 24-hour verbal authorization to release information to a third party.
Written Authorization
Written authorization signed by the customer(s) on the loan giving permission to release information to the specified third party
- This may be completed by filling out the Third Party Authorization Form or a written and signed letter received from the borrower(s)

The written authorization is to be submitted via email to servicing@fairwaymc.com
- While the Customer Experience Team is working remote, third party authorizations submitted from borrowers by email will result in the fastest processing time
- Written authorizations may also be mailed to the Fairway correspondence address or the fax number listed on the Contacts Page in KnowledgeOwl for Interim Servicing and Servicing911
- Upon receipt, a Customer Experience Specialist confirms the authorization is valid and uploads the written authorization to the eFolder in Encompass under the Third Party Auth category
- FICS is to be documented in the Memos section with details of the received third party authorization
- Written authorizations may also be mailed to the Fairway correspondence address or the fax number listed on the Contacts Page in KnowledgeOwl for Interim Servicing and Servicing911
Verbal Authorization
Customers, once fully authenticated and verified, may provide a 24-hour verbal authorization giving permission to release information to a third party.
- FICS is to be documented in the Memos section with the details of the third party authorization including:
- Name of customer who called (if more than one borrower on the loan)
- Name of authorized third party
- Document the borrower provided verbal authorization for the 24-hour period
Third parties are not permitted to authorize additional parties.
